The report will detail the
responses to a statutory consultation on a proposal to introduce
Healthy School Streets at 3 locations in the Borough. A decision is required on the Healthy School
Streets that are recommended to proceed to
implementation.
Content
For the reasons set out in the
report (and its appendices), the Corporate Director of Sustainable
Communities, Regeneration & Economic Development, having
consulted with the Executive Mayor and the Cabinet Member for
Streets & Environment, is recommended:
2.1 to agree to proceed to
implementation for the following Healthy School Street scheme
detailed in this report:

2.3 Subject to approval of
recommendation 2.1 above, to delegate authority to the Corporate
Director of Sustainable Communities, Regeneration & Economic
Recovery to undertake all measures necessary to make the Traffic
Management Order, including pursuant to the statutory requirements
of the Road Traffic Management Act 1984 and Local
Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales)
Regulations 1996 and make arrangements for the enforcement
thereof.
