Purpose
This report describes the
Tender process activity carried out to identify an organisation to
provide the statutory Healthwatch Croydon service for a term of 3
years + an option to extend up to a further 2 years, at a
previously agreed annual contract value of £152,000 through
the Healthwatch Procurement Strategy Report.
The decision being sought is to
gain approval for the recommendation to award the Healthwatch
Croydon contract to the identified organisation noted in Part B.
The Healthwatch Croydon contract will provide the function of
consultation and engagement with all Croydon residents to enable
them to give their views and feedback about health and social care
services in Croydon. It is a statutory required service for the
Council to provide.

For the reasons set out in the
report and its appendices, The Corporate Director for Adult Social
Care and Health is recommended by the Procurement Board with the
approval of the Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social
Care and the Cabinet Member for Finance
AGREED:
2.1to approve
the award of a contract for the statutory Healthwatch Croydon
service to the bidder named,
and for the maximum contract value stated, in the Part B
report for an initial term of three (3) years with the
ability to extend the arrangement for up to a further two (2) years
(maximum of 5 years in total).
