Purpose
In Croydon, HENRY (Health,
Exercise, Nutrition for the Really Young) has been delivering
Family Healthy Behaviours Services since 2022 providing a
two-tiered approach to support families with children aged 0-7
years.
Despite the positive impact of
these interventions, there is a recognised need to extend and
enhance the service offer in Croydon to better prepare parents when
their babies are ready for weaning and older children between 8yrs
and 12yrs old.
This report seeks approval of
the recommendation to modify the existing contract to expand the
current offer for babies and older primary aged
children.
The CCB with the approval of
the Cabinet Member of Finance and the Cabinet Member for Children
and Young People and the Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care
recommends to the Corporate Director for ACE in line with
Croydon’s Tender and Contract Regulations to:
For the reasons set out in the
report the Assistant Chief Executive is recommended by the
Contracts and Commissioning Board (CCB) with the approval of the
Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet Member Adult Social Care
and Health:

To agree a modification by way of variation for the
contract with HENRY to expand the Family Health Behaviours Service
for an additional investment £153,233 for the remaining 24
months of the contract 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2026. Bringing
the total aggregate value of the contract to
£1,033,233

to deliver:

Health AGREED to:

of variation for the contract with HENRY to expand the Family
Health Behaviours Service for an additional investment of
£154,121 for the remaining period of the contract until
30th June 2026, bringing the total aggregate value of
the contract to £1,034,121.
To the expansion of
the Tier 2 parenting offer to
deliver:

workshops for babies under 9 months
Healthy Families,
Growing Up Together programme for children aged 8yrs to 12yrs
old
To note that
the additional sum of £154,121 is calculated for the period
