Purpose

Approval is sought from the
Corporate Director of Housing to submit the planning application
for the Regina Rd redevelopment project.
 
The planning proposals were
presented at the Regina Rd Project Board on 19 May 2025. Approval
to submit the planning application, on the
basis of the presented proposals, was granted by the Project
Board subject to a subsequent meeting with the Executive Mayor.
This meeting has since taken place and
unconditional approval is now sought from the Corporate Director of
Housing to submit the planning application. The target for
submission of the planning application is June 2025
The presentation as provided to
Project Board and the Executive Mayor is provided in Part B of this
report.
 
Grounds for the exemption:
Exempt under paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government
Act 1972 as it relates to the financial or business affairs of any
particular person (including the
authority holding that information) and the public interest in
withholding disclosure outweighs the public interest in
disclosure.
 
The planning application will
be subject to public consultation as part of the planning process
and relevant planning documentation will be made publicly available
at that stage.

Housing AGREED:
 
The submission to the Local
Planning Authority of a planning application for the redevelopment
of the Regina Rd estate in accordance with the principles outlined
in the planning presentation attached at Part B of this
report.
