Purpose

The aim of this report is to
present to the members of Contract and Commissioning Board a
comprehensive proposal for the appointment of suitably qualified
compliment of Building, Asset and development related consultants
for a three year term to support the planning and delivery of
Housing related investments, works within the Council's housing
portfolio.
 
This report seeks pre-tender
approval for the procurement strategy in respect of consultancy
services to support the council’s capital programme in
accordance with Regulations 17.2 of the council’s Tenders and
Contract Regulations.
 
The required skills will cover
a range of activities to support delivery of assets and improvement
projects in ensuring our residents safety meeting regulatory and
legislative requirements. 
 
The council has a capital
programme providing significant investment to support key council
priorities on affordable housing, net zero carbon and much-needed
replacement, modernisation and enhancement of a wide variety of
community assets.
