Purpose

The report outlines the
procurement strategy to procure a delivery and design partner for
the three residential and nursing homes under the Adult Homes for
the Future PFI agreement – Heavers Court, Addington Heights
and Langley Oaks. As part of this strategy, an extension is being
requested to enable continuity of services in the interim, whilst
the commissioning and procurement exercise is
undertaken.

For
the reasons set out in the report and its appendices the Cabinet
Member for Health and Adult Social Care RESOLVED:

 

To approve the procurement strategy set out in this
report to procure a contract for the care and support provision at
the three Care Homes: Addington Heights, Heavers Court and Langley
Oaks, for a period of 10 years with an option to extend for up to a
further 3 years at a maximum value of £81,900,000.
