About

The Devon Countryside Access Forum is a statutory local access forum.  Each highway authority was required to establish a forum under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.  The remit of a forum is to provide independent advice as to the improvement of public access to land for the purposes of open-air recreation and enjoyment.   Members are volunteers, appointed by Devon County Council.  There are currently seventeen members who represent the interests of land managers, access users and other relevant interests such as tourism and conservation.   Full details about the Devon Countryside Access Forum including its position statements and annual reports can be found on www.devon.gov.uk/dcaf Meeting papers prior to April 2017 are on this website.
