Special Licensing Sub Committee

The Special Licensing Sub Committee makes decisions on specific licensing applications under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005, as well as other types of licences where objections require a member-level hearing. This includes applications for street trading, special treatment premises, sex establishments, pet shops, and dog breeding establishments. The committee also handles all licence reviews for these areas. While officers can agree minor variations to premises licenses under the Licensing Act 2003, this sub-committee has the authority to make final decisions on the matters brought before it.
