Approve the proposed removal of the existing
disabled parking bays at 28 locations detailed in Table 1 of this
report
A summary of recommendations includes the following:
• Removal of 28 existing disabled parking bays
• Reinstate the residents parking permit bays where
appropriate where the disabled bays are removed.

Reasons for the decision

Residents reported/confirmed these existing
disabled Parking bays are no longer required and removing the bays
will free up the unused spaces for other residents to
park.

Alternative options considered

A “Do Nothing” approach was
considered but not recommended as it would not align to the
Council’s Parking Strategy and our Parking Schemes –
Resident Engagement Policy, and guidance issued by Department for
Transport (DfT).
