Purpose

Housing Asset Management proposed to
compliantly direct award contract to WG Wigginton utilising the
Procure Public, Electrical Services and Decarbonisation Framework.
W.G Wiggington Ltd's ranking was established through an evaluation
process, which considered both quality and cost factors. In the
original framework tender, W.G Wiggington Ltd emerged as the
top-ranked supplier based on a weighted evaluation of 60% for
quality and 40% for cost. The framework rules state that with the
direct selection method, contracting authorities may select the
contractor who is ranked number 1 on the framework. EICR work is
specifically stated for inclusion within the framework scope.
Award of contract to W.G Wiggington Ltd meets the framework terms
and is compliant with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the
Council’s Contract Procedure Rules.

The award of contract to W G Wiggington Ltd to
commence on 01/04/2024 for a period of 5 years with an option to
extend for up to 2 years. The total value of the contract including
any options to extend is £1,620,000.
