Purpose

To seek delegated authority for
the Strategic Director of Adult Social Care & Public Health
(DASS), following consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Adult
Services and Public Health, to:
 
a)   
undertake a survey of any suitable property
identified to ensure it is fit for purpose as a residential home
for children and young people with disabilities.
b)   
implement the acquisition and fit out/refurbishment
of said property should it be identified as the preferred
option.
c)    
approve the required capital budget to acquire the
property and the revenue budget to staff and operate the
home.
d)   
proceed with the Ofsted registration process and
opening of the home once a suitable location is secured.
