Purpose

This variation is required to include route
optimisation software which was omitted from the contract. The
route optimisation software is a critical part of the waste
management software as it uses parameters and routing data to
calculate the optimal routes required for the council’s
various waste collections each day and is used for domestic as well
as commercial waste.

Content

To apply a variation to the waste management
system contract with Bartec Municipal Technologies Limited, to
enable route optimisation software to be incorporated into the
call-off contract. The total value of the contract including any
options to extend is £305,786 (Exc VAT).
