About

At Borough Council on 23rd May 2023 members agreed to increase the number of area forums from five to seven.  As a result, the Isleworth and Brentford Area Forum was split into two separate meetings (Brentford and Syon Area Forum and Hounslow South, Isleworth and Osterley & Spring Grove Area Forum).    The members of the Brentford and Syon Area Forum are ward councillors for the following wards:  

Brentford East – Max Mosley and Marina Sharma (Chair).

Brentford West – Guy Lambert and Emma Yates (Vice-Chair). Syon & Brentford Lock – Dan Bowring, Theo Dennison and Katherine Dunne.   The Brentford and Syon Area Forum is one of seven area forums operating across the borough.  Each is committed to providing clear, accountable, community leadership and tackling the unique challenges and needs of their area. The Forum monitors and reviews services delivered by the Council and other agencies in that area.   An area forum is made up of councillors with the option to co-opt up to three members of the public with extensive knowledge of the area onto the forum.   The meetings are open to the public and allow for local consultation and discussion. Area forums are crucial in shaping the local area to meet the needs and aspirations of their residents, providing a forum for local decision-making on a wide range of matters.    Changes to Local Representation for this area and access to records: July 2011: Borough Council agreed to abolish the standalone planning meetings of the Area Committees.   July 2012: Isleworth and Brentford Area Committee was renamed Isleworth and Brentford Area Forum.    January 2013: Borough Council agreed that West Area Forum should be renamed Bedfont Feltham Hanworth Area Forum.    Use this link for meetings of the Isleworth and Brentford Area Forum before 23rd May 2023.  (They are listed under Brentford and Syon AF)   For meetings held before 25th May 2011 please see Isleworth and Brentford Area Committee (Planning) or Isleworth and Brentford Area Committee (Monitoring).   Electronic records are available for this area on the Council’s website for the period from January 2003 onwards.  Many reports before this date can be made available electronically and emailed on request.   If you would like further information please contact Bill Lee, Principal Committee Administrator, on 020 8583 2067 or email William.Lee@hounslow.gov.uk
