The Terms of Reference for the Committee are as follows: “To review and scrutinise matters relating to the planning, provision and operation of health services in Kent through exercising the powers conferred on Kent County Council under Section 244 of the National Health Service Act 2006 as amended by the Health and Social Care Act 2012.”

Prior to September 2007 this Committee was known as the NHS Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
