Decision
RESOLVED that:
- the procurement strategy set out in this report, to undertake a competitive dialogue procurement, for the scope of services outlined in this report, in order to secure a waste and recycling collection, street cleansing and winter maintenance service contract for the Borough to commence April 2025, be agreed; and
- authority be delegated to Executive Director Corporate and Communities to determine the procurement strategy for the haulage, processing and sale of recyclate material, to be led by the South London Waste Partnership (SLWP) and endorsed by its Joint Waste Committee;
and NOTED:
- the procurement timetable and key decisions detailed in paragraph 38 of the report;
- the forecast revenue and capital budget position from 2024/25, detailed in paragraphs 39 and 41 of the report, which will be also included within the Council’s Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS); and
- that a new lease should be granted to the successful operator for the existing Waste Collection Site at Chapel Mill Road as the operational base for the provision of services in scope, in line with the Contract Award.
