Purpose

To ask the Council to approve a capital
programme for 2025/26.

Decision

1.         To
publish draft capital programme proposals in advance of making firm
proposals to the council on 19th February, 2025;
 

2.         To
advise the scrutiny function that comments on the draft proposals
may be made until 31st January, 2025.

Reasons for the decision

Under the
constitution, the full Council is responsible for approving the
capital programme and this is expected to take place on 19th
February, 2025.
 
The City Mayor is
responsible for proposing a draft capital programme to the
Council.  In advance of making firm
proposals, the constitution requires the preparation of a draft
proposal which can be considered by the scrutiny function.
 
The draft proposal is
contained in a draft Council report.
