Purpose

The current contract had reached its maximum term and a compliant procurement was required for a new contract. Following a competitive tender exercise, via the Crown Commercial Framework -RM6116 – Network Services (3) Lot 4b Digital Communication Services, a contract has been awarded to Specialist Computer Centres Plc as the highest scoring bid from the 7 bids received

Decision

To award a contract for up to 10 years to Specialist Computer Centres (SCC) Plc to supply and support AnywhereNow (previously known as Anywhere365).

Alternative options considered

As part of this procurement other routes to market were considered such as G-cloud but were rejected due to the limited contract length and limited potential suppliers.
