Decision

RESOLVED – That in relation to Metro Network Improvements Phase 1 – Lime Street to Low Hill Construction Contract Award:

(a)         the use of £11.98 million Combined Authority reserves be approved to allow the accelerated delivery of works concerning transport infrastructure improvements between Liverpool Lime Street and Low Hill pending completion of assurance processes in line with City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) requirements, noting that a full business case will be prepared and brought to the Combined Authority for approval in due course with a request to approve the allocation of CRSTS funding for this scheme;

(b)         the receipt of £3.4m from Liverpool City Council to deliver public realm regeneration works at Monument Place be approved; and

(c)          delegated authority be granted to the Executive Director – Place in consultation with the Monitoring Officer and the Treasurer to enter into agreements concerning and ancillary to the delivery of the works detailed in paragraphs 2.1 (a) and (b) above
