RESOLVED – That in relation to the Office for Public Service Innovation: Progress to Date and proposed next steps:

(a)         The progress update on the implementation of the Officer for Public Service Innovation (OPSI) be noted;

(b)         The plans for the next stage of delivery be endorsed;

(c)          A budget allocation of £2,000,000 be approved, funded from reserves, for OPSI to progress the next stage of delivery as highlighted in the approved January 2026 budget; and

(d)         Delegated authority be granted to the Executive Director – Public Sector Innovation, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Public Service Innovation, the Executive Director – Resources and the Monitoring Officer to procure, award and modify contracts and grant agreements to utilise this allocation to progress OPSI delivery.
