The Overview and Scrutiny Board scrutinises the decisions and performance of Middlesbrough Council's executive and services. It can question executive members and officers, review council plans, and monitor budgets and resources. The Board can refer executive decisions back for reconsideration, provided they haven't been actioned, and makes recommendations to the Council on policy reviews and other matters. It also monitors compliance with audit reports and crime and disorder functions.
