To agree that North
Northamptonshire Council:
 
Appoint Architect
Services for the minor refurbishment works at the Autumn Centre,
Corby. 
 
 
The Autumn Centre owned
by the Council was originally constructed as a community centre and
is currently being used by dementia sufferers with varying
levels/stages of dementia and to support older people in
Corby.  The building needs modernisation to
ensure that it is fit for purpose, whilst improving the visitor
experience.
 
The Council’s
Public Health department are currently working with the University
of Northampton on a joint project to turn the Autumn Centre into a
centre of excellence for dementia sufferers across North
Northamptonshire. 
 
The works to include
replacement flooring, redecoration, replacement lighting, toilet
refurbishment and reconfiguration of the toilets, replacement
kitchen etc. 
 
The Architect to be
awarded specialising in dementia design, accessibility, and
cognitive impairment. 
 
This work has been
procured in line with NNC’s procurement processes using a
request for quotation form. 
 
The project is managed in
line with NNC’s Capital Projects
processes.
