RESOLVED
 
That the Executive reviewed
and approved the proposed write off of outstanding debts as
summarised in Appendix A of the report.
 
 
Reason for Recommendation: The
Council’s Constitution (Financial Procedure Rules) requires
the approval of Executive to write off debt in excess of
£25,000. It is considered that this debt cannot be
recovered.
 
Alternative Option Considered:
The alternative option would be to periodically review and pursue
the debt. However, following the action already undertaken and the
status of the organisations, it is considered irrecoverable at this
time and would not be economical to continue to pursue.
