Purpose

In October 2023, the Executive
agreed that the Council should progress a LEVI funding bid to
Government (via the Department for Transport (DfT)) for the
provision of public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles,
leading to a procurement for works and services to deliver the
project. 
Executive delegated key decisions
to the Executive Member for Highways, Travel & Assets, in
consultation with the Executive Director for Place and Economy
(Deputy Chief Executive) and Executive Director for Finance and
Performance. 

 

The Council received approval of
its business case and procurement approach from DfT on
8th
November 2024.  The Invitation to Tender was issued on
18th
November 2024 and bids were
received on 24th
February 2025. Following a
thorough evaluation and moderation process, a preferred bidder was
selected and recommendations made to delegated
decision-makers.

 

The Council has submitted its
final notifications to DfT for approval ahead of formal contract
award which has been granted.

Concession Contract with preferred supplier Connected Kerb to
deliver and manage works and services for the planning, design,
installation and operation and maintenance of Local Electric
Vehicle public charging Infrastructure across North
Northamptonshire (NNEVI project).
