RESOLVED

KEY DECISION

That the Executive:

a)
Approved the North
Northamptonshire Community Safety Plan for adoption.

b)
Delegated authority to the
Assistant Director, Communities and Leisure in consultation with
the Executive Member for Communities to take any actions necessary
to implement the Community Safety Plan.

Reasons for Recommendations: To
use the plan to ensure that North Northamptonshire is safe for our
residents, businesses and visitors; and that all of the agencies
represented at the Community Safety Partnership Board have a
structure within which they can work together, effectively and
efficiently.

Alternative Options Considered:
The alternative option would be to not adopt the North
Northamptonshire Community Safety Plan. This is not recommended.
North Northamptonshire Council has a statutory duty to collaborate
with its partners to reduce crime and disorder and to produce a
community safety plan. In addition to not complying with its duty,
NNC and its partners would not have a clearly articulated direction
or plan to improve the safety of the public, which is a corporate
priority for the Council.
