Approval of the North Northamptonshire Local
Area Energy Plan (LAEP) and permission to undertake the delivery of
relevant projects and initiatives in support of the key actions in
the report. 

Reasons for the decision

Due to the technical nature of the
report, no formal report has come forward to the Executive. The
Executive Member has been briefed throughout the project and has
signed off the draft report. 

 

Reasons for the
decision:

•        
The LAEP aligns with the
Council’s corporate commitment to protect and enhance our
countryside and local environment, as well as the commitment to
support a vibrant and sustainable local economy.

•        
The LAEP aligns with the
Council’s adoption of the Climate Change Strategy for North
Northamptonshire.

•        
The LAEP compliments a number of
existing environmental policies and strategies, such as the Carbon
Management Plan, the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure
Strategy, the Economic Growth Strategy, the Housing Strategy, and
the Local Plan.
