The Executive of North Northamptonshire Council agreed on 12/05/2026 to delegate authority to the Executive Director of Children's Services, in consultation with the Section 151 Officer and the Executive Member for Children, Education and Families, to approve, finalise, and submit the Local SEND Reform Plan and associated documentation to the Department for Education. This delegation is to ensure timely responses to feedback and meet the submission deadline.

The Executive of North Northamptonshire Council agreed on 14/04/2026 to revise the Ward Member Empowerment Fund Policy for 2026/27, open the fund for a reduced allocation of £68,000 between 5th May and 4th August 2026, and formally withdraw it thereafter. They also agreed to allocate £68,000 to devise and develop a Youth Empowerment Grant Scheme with the Youth Advisory Council, targeting a September 2026 launch. This includes revising the Ward Member Empowerment Fund Policy to reduce allocations and shorten the application window, and allocating £68,000 for the new Youth Empowerment Grant Scheme.
