Decision
RESOLVED
That the Executive:
a. Endorsed the Annual Delivery Plan and enabling strategies appended to this report.
b. Noted the actions taken to strengthen the linkages between strategic ambition and day-to-day service delivery, along with the next steps set out in this report.
Reason for Recommendations – The Council formally adopted its Corporate Plan at Full Council in December 2025. Given that the Annual Delivery Plan and enabling strategies focus on the delivery of approved Council policy, it is not considered essential that they are approved by the Executive. However, it is considered good practice to consider them in public and the Council is keen to maximise the openness and transparency of its approach and build awareness and ownership of this important plan and supporting strategies.
Alternative Options Considered – Not reporting the Annual Delivery Plan and enabling strategies to the public meeting of the Executive was an option. This has not been recommended because the Council is keen to maximise the openness and transparency of its approach and build awareness and ownership of the Annual Delivery Plans and supporting enabling strategies.
