Decision

RESOLVED that: The Scrutiny Management Board:

a)      Approves the establishment of a Task and Finish Panel to undertake scrutiny to support the development of the Local Transport Plan as set out in the Terms of Reference attached to the Agenda Item.

b)      Agrees that the Panel shall comprise Members appointed from the Place and Environment Scrutiny Committee and the wider community of scrutiny members to ensure cross-party representation and greater member engagement in the development of the Local Transport Plan.

c)      Authorises the Scrutiny Officer, in consultation with the Chair of the Place and Environment Scrutiny Committee, to finalise membership arrangements and meeting dates.

d)      Requests that the findings and recommendations of the Panel be reported to the Place and Environment Scrutiny Committee, the Executive and any other appropriate body in line with the timetable to develop the Local Transport Plan.

e)      Invites the Chairs and Vice-Chairs of the Council’s Scrutiny Committees to participate in the Task and Finish Panel to support wider scrutiny input into the development of the Local Transport Plan.
