RESOLVED

KEY DECISION

That the Executive:

i)
Noted the update and actions taken to recommission
the Public Health Services.

ii)
Approved the delegation to the Director of Public
Health in consultation with the Executive Member for Adults, Health
and Wellbeing to take any further decision and actions required to
conclude the commissioning and award the contracts for the
following services:

Best Start in Life. A
Public Health commissioned service for children 0-11 and their
families
Thriving in Life: A
Public Health commissioned services for young people aged 11+
-19
Strong
Start
North
Northamptonshire Integrated Sexual Health Service
(NNISH)
Sexual Health
services delivered via GP and Community Pharmacy
Services
REACH (youth
counselling)
Oral Health Promotion
Service
The Dental
Epidemiology Survey.

Reasons for Recommendations: Significant work has been
undertaken to develop the service models including engagement with
children, young people and families in North Northants. Approval
will ensure the conclusion of an open and robust commissioning
process in a timely manner and will enable services to be in place
by 1st April 2025.

Alternative Options Considered:  Not
to approve the recommendations in this report, this would lead to a
significant delay in awarding the new contracts resulting in risks
to service delivery. The service contracts need to be awarded in
December to allow time for mobilisation by April 2025, the tender
will be completed in late November.
