The Cabinet Member for Transport Management decided on 25 January 2024 to permit two-way cycling on South Parade and replace single yellow lines with double yellow lines. This decision was made to improve road safety and facilitate cycling. The decision includes considering extending a cycle lane eastwards to the Middle Way junction.
