About
The Licensing Applications Sub-Committee is responsible for making decisions on various licensing matters under the Licensing Act 2003 and other legislation. It handles applications for personal and premises licences, reviews of premises licences, and temporary event notices when objections are raised. The sub-committee also determines applications for hackney carriage and private hire vehicle and driver licences, street trading, and approves recreation and refreshment facilities. It can approve or recommend licensing policies and determines applications under the Gambling Act 2005 where relevant representations are made.
