RESOLVED:
 
The Committee resolved to:
 
a) 
Declare 88 Richmond Road, TW1 3BB (former Orleans Park School
House) surplus to the Council’s operational requirements.
 
b) 
Approve the disposal of the property to the Richmond Land Parish
Charities to deliver affordable housing (Alms Houses) for not less
than best consideration. In the event, the Richmond Charities fail
to proceed to acquire the property, approve its disposal on the
open market for best consideration;
 
c) 
Delegate authority to the Assistant Director of Valuation and Asset
Management Services in consultation with the Managing Director of
SLLP to dispose of the Council’s freehold interest on terms
that are in the best financial interest of the Council; and
 
d) 
Authorise the Executive Director of Finance to use the
Council’s wellbeing powers if this is required – see
the comments of the Legal Implications contained within the exempt
report.
