Purpose

This report introduces an updated Events
Policy for the borough’s parks and open spaces and the Thames
towpath, following a revision of the current policy which dates to
2012. Around 100 events are held by third parties in these areas
each year.

RESOLVED that the committee:
1. 
APPROVE the updated draft events policy for the
borough’s parks, commons, open spaces, and towpaths for
public consultation.
2. 
NOTE that a further report will be submitted to the
committee following consultation, requesting adoption of the final
policy.
3. 
DELEGATE AUTHORITY to the Executive Director of Environment
and Community Services in consultation with the Chair of the
Environment, Sustainability, Culture and Sports Committee to
agree the consultation approach and documents.
