Purpose

Approval of the tendering of a new contract
for the provision of Tree Planting and Tree Supply Services
(Richmond) for a term of four years with an option to extend for an
additional period of up to four years.

RESOLVED: that the
committee,
 
1. 
Approve the tendering
of new contracts for the provision of new tree supply, planting and
aftercare for the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames,
commencing in April 2026 and for a period of four years and an
option to extend for a further period of up to four
years.
2. 
Delegate authority to
the Executive Director of Environment and Community Services in
consultation with the Executive Director of Finance, and the Chair
of the Environment, Sustainability, Culture and Sports Committee
to:
• Develop the
specification and scope of services.
• Agree the
procurement strategy and tendered services.
• Go to the
market and tender the services.
3. 
Note that a report will
return to Committee to seek approval for the contract
awards.
