Purpose

To consider the objections and comments
regarding proposals to grant a 10 year lease of Pensford Field to
Dose of Nature and to decide whether or not to proceed with the
grant.

RESOLVED:
 
The Committee resolved to:
 
a) Note that, in compliance with the
provisions of s.123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972, the
Council advertised its intention to grant a lease of up to 10 years
to Dose of Nature (DoN) – see
appendix 1.
 
b) Note that the Council has received 190
(53.4%) objections to the proposal, 163 (45.8%) comments in favour
of the proposal and 3 neutral submissions.
 
c) Carefully consider the objections and
comments received which are summarised in appendix 2
 
d) Accept the officer recommendation to grant
a lease to DoN.
 
(e) Should the Committee decide to grant the
lease to DoN to delegate authority to
the Assistant Director of Valuation and Asset Management Services
to complete the negotiation and finalise the lease and ancillary
documentation on such detailed terms as considered necessary within
the parameters in this report, ensuring that schools are excluded
from the provision for fees for hire & ensuring access to WCs
in the final lease.
