Purpose

Engagement was undertaken with the school
community and local residents regarding highway safety around the
two entrances serving Collis School. This highlighted safety
concerns at the school entrances in Cromwell Road & Fairfax
Road, including illegal parking and vehicle congestion at the
beginning and end of the school day.

Reasons for Decision:
To consider the results of an informal and statutory consultation
regarding the introduction of proposed school safety measures on
Cromwell Rd and Fairfax Road, Teddington.

Content

The SSA Executive Director of Environment and
Community Services:

i) Notes the results of the public consultation outlined in
paragraph 4.1 & summary representations received in response to
the public consultation on school safety proposals for Cromwell
Road and Fairfax Road attached at APPENDIX D;

ii) In response to representations, approves amended measures for
Cromwell Road & Fairfax Road, as shown on the drawings attached
at APPENDIX C; and

iii) Re-advertisement of a Traffic Management Order under Section 6
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to reflect these
changes
