RESOLVED that the Transport & Air
Quality Committee:
Note:
a) Current usage and developments
affecting e-bike and e-scooter services in the borough;
b) Findings of a Call for Evidence into
e-bike and e-scooter operations;
c) Proposals arising from the Devolution
Bill for the licensing of e-bike operations, including a recent
consultation by the Department for Transport and the
Council’s response to this consultation; and
d) feedback on the TfL e-scooter rental
trial to date.
Agree:
e) The continuation of e-bike services in
the borough based on the principles set out in section 8;
f) The timetable for procuring
future e-bike services as proposed in paragraph 8.4 and
g) The continued participation of
Richmond upon Thames in the TFL e-scooter trial, following the
extension of the trial.
