Purpose

The majority of roads in the Borough have a 20mph posted speed limit and this report seeks approval to reduce the speed limit on the roads leading to/from Kingston Bridge and complement the existing Royal Borough of Kingston 20mph speed limit on Kingston Bridge (Horsefair). This will provide a logical/easier to understand speed limit arrangement and may help to address the poor injury collision record in the area

i) The advertisement of a Traffic Management Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 for the introduction of a 20mph speed limit on parts of Hampton Wick High Street, Hampton Court Road and Church Grove, as shown on the plan at APPENDIX A.
