Approval for the tendering of a new green
space management contract for Richmond’s parks and other
green spaces.

RESOLVED that the committee,
1. 
Approve the tendering of a new contract for the provision of
green space management services for Richmond’s parks and
other open spaces, for a period of six years with an estimated
total value of £6.81 million excluding inflation, and an
option to extend for six years.
 
2. 
Delegate authority to the Executive Director of Environment
and Community Services in consultation with the Executive Director
of Finance and Chair of the Environment, Sustainability,
Sports and Culture Committee to:
• Develop the specification and
scope of services.
• Agree procurement strategy and
tendered services.
• Go to the market and tender
the services.
 
3. 
Note that a report will return to Committee to seek approval
for the contract award.
