Purpose
To receive an update.
Content
RESOLVED that the Committee:
a)
noted the progress made in the delivery of additional places for
pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND);
b)
approved the addition of a capital budget of £4.4m and a
budget virement of £3m from unallocated Basic Needs pot to
allow the Council to enter into the Design and Build construction
contract for the delivery of the Clarendon SEN school at Petersham
and Strathmore at Hampton High;
c)
noted the re-allocation of High Needs Capital Funding to specific
scheme budgets as set out in paragraph 3.7; and
d)
delegated to the Assistant Director of Property Services, in
consultation with the Executive Director of Finance, the authority
to enter into the construction contract for the delivery of the SEN
school at Petersham at a contract value not to exceed £12m
(excluding VAT).
