Purpose

To consider the results of an informal
consultation regarding a proposed 20mph speed limit and associated
traffic reduction measures on the A305 Staines Road/Twickenham Road
between Sixth Cross Road and Apex Corner, Twickenham.

Content

The SSA Director of Environment and Community Services:

i) Notes the results of the consultation outlined in sections
7.1-7.2.
ii) Agrees to not proceed with the introduction of 20mph at this
time, given the outcome of the consultation.
iii) Agrees to proceed with changes to the toucan and footway area
outside David Lloyds and a new pedestrian refuge outside 380
Staines Road.
iv) Agrees to the advertisement of a Traffic Management Order under
Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulations Acts (RTRA) 1984 for
double yellow line waiting restrictions in conjunction with the
measures outlined in (iii) above.
