Full council record
Purpose
The Council has received complaints with
regards vehicle damage on both verges around the cul-de-sac section
of Buckingham Road opposite numbers 13/15 Buckingham Road.
Residents have requested bollards be installed in the grass verges
but on closer inspection, it would appear difficult for larger
vehicles to turn into and out of this junction with the current
on-street parking arrangements without mounting the grass verges.
Bollards would therefore be damaged if the Council were to proceed
without making changes to the parking arrangement.
To protect these corners and remove the ongoing risk to
pedestrians, it is proposed to introduce an extension to the double
yellow lines in conjunction with bollards in both verges to ensure
pedestrian safety and also enable emergency access into this part
of Buckingham Road.
