Full council record
Purpose

In conjunction with the introduction of a
cycle scheme on Kew Road, a one- way working scheme was temporarily
introduced on Kew Green to manage traffic movements. This enabled
coaches to access Kew Gardens via Elizabeth Gate for
offloading/picking up of passenger without risk of conflict with
opposing traffic movements.

The one-way scheme under its current layout has been in operation
for nearly 18 months. This has allowed for monitoring to be
undertaken to assess traffic conditions in relation to the one way
working and the Council now wish to make this permanent under a
Section 6 Traffic Management Order.
