i) Notes the representations summarised in paragraph 7.2 and
outlined in Appendix C, and the recommendation in paragraph
7.6.
ii) Approves the advertisement of a notice under Sections 23 and
90C of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 for the introduction
of a zebra crossing on Oak Avenue (shown in Appendix D of the
report) and the construction of a raised table (plus removal of
three existing speed cushions).
Alternative options considered
The proposal was consulted on as a signalised
pelican crossing, as a result of comments received to the
consultation this has now been changed to a zebra
crossing.
