Purpose

As set out in the paper on Economic Recovery
and High Streets update, including borough UKSPF allocations at the
Finance, Policy and Resources Committee on 28 February 2023, the
Council entered into a funding agreement with the Greater London
Authority (GLA) to deliver against the UKSPF allocation to the
borough. The Assistant Chief Executive, in consultation with the
Lead Member for Communities, Equalities and the Voluntary Sector,
the Lead Member for Finance and Resources and the Lead Member for
Business and Growth invited proposals from local voluntary sector
partners on how this funding could be used towards capital projects
on their own building assets. These proposals were reviewed by the
Council against a set of published criteria with final
recommendations considered by the Assistant Chief Executive, in
consultation with the Lead Member for Communities, Equalities and
the Voluntary Sector, the Lead Member for Finance and Resources and
the Lead Member for Business and Growth. In consultation with the
Monitoring Officer for the Council it has been agreed that the
final decision on the grant awards be delegated to the Assistant
Chief Executive and are outlined in Appendix A.
