Purpose

To seek agreement to launch Round 5 of the
Richmond Community Fund and agree a new small grant funding
programme which incorporates the Civic Pride Fund and Local Area
Fund.

Content

The
Committee resolved:
 
To note
the review of the Local Area Fund and Civic Pride Fund and agree
the approach described below for the launch of a new combined fund
which will retain the name Civic Pride Fund, and launch of Round 5
of the Richmond Community Fund:
 
a) 
To agree the launch of a new Civic Pride Fund which
replaces the Local Area Fund and Civic Pride Fund 
b) 
To continue with a core budget of £100,000,
and a grant limit of £230,000, 
with the balance of £130,000 allocated from the contingency
in-year if there is demand.
c) 
To agree to open the Community Fund programme in
September 2023.
d) 
To note the refreshed priorities and principles in
managing the Community Fund, subject to the following
amendments:

(i) 
organisations be allowed to apply for funding more
than once in a funding period; each application shall be for up to
£5,000.

(ii) 
That officers inform ward councillors of the outcome
of funding applications related to their ward.
