The Committee
resolved:
 
a) 
To note the increase in the costs to deliver the new
social centre facility, primarily as a result
of construction inflation.
b) 
To approve a positive capital budget addition of
£1.152m in 2023/24 only.
c) 
To approve the additional budgetary provision as set
out in paragraph 4.4 and 4.5 of the Exempt paper to support the
completion of the procurement exercise.
d) 
To authorise the Assistant Director of Property
Services to enter into the design and
build construction contract with the successful bidder following
the outcome of the procurement exercise.
e) 
To refer the matter to the Audit Committee to review
the processes gone through to award the contract and identify
lessons learnt.
