Purpose

This report is being presented to the
Education and Children’s Services Committee to provide an
overview of the revenue and capital budget management position for
the financial year 2023/24.

Content

RESOLVED that the Committee noted
 
a) 
the overall overspend on the General Fund revenue services for this
Committee is £2.754m; 
b) 
the final ringfenced Dedicated Schools Grant position and that it
is in line with the requirements of the DfE Safety Valve Agreement;
and
c) 
the outturn position on the Capital Programme.
d) 
their appreciation of the work of the officers in ensuring that the
terms of the Safety Valve Agreement has been met and the budget
brought back into equilibirium.
