About

The Planning Applications Committee is responsible for determining planning applications, enforcement actions, and planning agreements within Surrey Heath. It also handles matters related to advertisement control, listed buildings, conservation areas, minerals and waste disposal, hazardous substances, and development proposals by the County Council and Borough.

This committee also has functions relating to trees and hedgerows, high hedge complaints, and certificates of appropriate alternative development. While it generally makes decisions on planning matters, the Full Council may determine large-scale applications with significant community impact.

The committee also makes recommendations to the Leader, Executive, or Council regarding its budget and the delegation of functions to officers.
