About
The Tameside Health and Wellbeing Board works to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents throughout their lives. It focuses on targeted support for those with poor health, prevention, early intervention, and developing cost-effective, joined-up services.
The Board advises on integrated health and social care services, prepares joint strategic needs assessments and health and wellbeing strategies, and provides opinions to the Council on its adherence to these strategies. It also exercises other delegated functions and can appoint sub-committees.
